The tears fall quietly and softly almost undetected
They are always there so they get no special attention
It’s a shame that they go unnoticed
If any one took the time to look, really look
They would be appalled by the sight
The sight of a twelve year old girl that cries so much
So much that her tears have formed aqueducts in her checks
So much so that her cheeks are always ashy
So much that she blinks only to stop the tears from falling
But I notice the tears and it makes me cry
Days that should be spent playing are spent laying
Laying in the beds of strangers for clothes and cash
They just want the ass so they pay the tears no mind
They spend money and time on the young ones they find
Am I the only one that can see the tears
Her government acts like they don’t see them
How can they miss the tears of generations of girls

Someone has to take notice. Someone has to start change
She would change, if they would change
But it’s almost all they know. They started so young
So young that the damage done the first time
Is damage that is done for the rest of their lives.
